Rules for admission of international PhD students under the Erasmus+ programme

  1. Doctoral students from partner universities who wish to visit AGH, after receiving a nomination from their home university, should communicate this fact to the AGH Agreement Coordinator, AGH Centre for International Affairs or the Department for International Students, from where the information will be forwarded to the AGH Doctoral School. The School will then contact the appropriate agreement coordinator at the partner university in charge of coordination of  the cooperation with the doctoral student's home university. The list of AGH partner universities and their agreement coordinators is available at: http://www.erasmusplus.agh.edu.pl/umowy-miedzyinstytucjonalne-erasmus/wykaz-umow-erasmus/
  2. The role of the agreement coordinator is to agree on an academic supervisor matching the doctoral student's scientific profile, who will supervise them at AGH. Once the choice of the supervisor has been made, the agreement coordinator will pass the details of the doctoral student and the supervisor to the AGH Doctoral School.
  3. The academic supervisor and the doctoral student will agree on the content of the Learning Agreement regarding the planned study/research programme and participation in courses offered at the AGH Doctoral School. The School will provide both the supervisor and the doctoral student with a list of subjects taught in English that will be available during the doctoral student's stay at AGH.
  4. The supervisor will provide academic supervision for the doctoral student. The supervisor should ensure a workstation (office, desk) for the doctoral student and regular consultations  on the progress of the student’s research during their stay at AGH. It is recommended that the doctoral student is invited to join the research team of their academic supervisor and participate in seminars held by the team/ department/ faculty/ ACMiN, etc.
  5. The School will supervise the doctoral student's participation in courses taught directly at the AGH Doctoral School.
  6. The School will provide the doctoral student with a doctoral student ID card.
  7. In the event of problems related to the student’s stay (e.g. accommodation issues), the doctoral student should receive assistance from the agreement coordinator and the AGH Doctoral School.
  8. On completion of the doctoral student's stay at AGH, the academic supervisor will confirm the fulfillment of all required outcomes set out in their Learning Agreement and communicate this fact to the School.
  9. On completion of the doctoral student's stay at AGH, the Doctoral School will issue documents confirming this fact: a Letter of Confirmation and a Transcript of Records.
