Information for Doctoral Students of the AGH Doctoral School

  1. Doctoral students of the AGH Doctoral School participate in study trips and internships organized within the Erasmus+ Program based on the same regulations that apply to first and second degree students. Therefore, they are obliged to thoroughly read the general information available on www.erasmusplus.agh.edu.pl.
  2. Doctoral students of the School participate in the qualification procedure for study programmes to be completed under the Erasmus+ initiative within the deadline set for the AGH faculty that is represented by the coordinator of the agreement signed with the Partner University that the student wishes to visit. The relevant deadlines for individual AGH faculties are announced on www.erasmusplus.agh.edu.pl.
  3. Doctoral students are free to choose their preferred partner university and its study profile, provided that the university is included in the list of  inter-institutional agreements signed within the Erasmus+ Programme, which is available at: http://www.erasmusplus.agh.edu.pl/umowy-miedzyinstytucjonalne-erasmus/wykaz-umow-erasmus/.
  4. The AGH doctoral student interested in applying for the programme should consult their supervisor and the School Director as to whether they have made a correct choice of the partner university. The agreement coordinator of the chosen partner university, listed in the penultimate column of the inter-institutional agreements index, can be helpful here to confirm whether the given agreement allows doctoral student exchanges. The absence of such a provision in the agreement precludes the choice of that partner university.
  5. After consulting the choice of partner university, the student of the AGH Doctoral School must submit an admission form to the coordinator in charge of the relevant agreement.
  6. The AGH Doctoral School will notify the doctoral student of the final result of the qualification procedure.
  7. Students who have been qualified for the programme will then draw up the Learning Agreement (LA), consulting the scope and programme of studies at the partner university with their supervisor and the AGH Doctoral School. The website of the chosen partner
  8. university can be helpful to verify whether the courses selected in the Learning Agreement will be available in a given semester. In particularly difficult cases, the agreement coordinator may seek information on the availability of selected subjects from their counterpart at the partner university.
  9. AGH doctoral students will make all formal arrangements, such as signing the financial agreement and other required documents, at the Center for International Affairs.
  10. Doctoral students of the AGH Doctoral School applying for an internship finalize all arrangements under the qualification procedure directly with the AGH Doctoral School. They download the admission form appropriate for the internship from the School’s website and submit it at the Doctoral School within a specified deadline.
  11. The location of the internship, its duration, and programme must be consulted with the supervisor and the Doctoral School. The student may choose as the internship location a company within their field of interest or  one of the partner universities included in the list of inter-institutional agreements. The internship location may be also chosen based on the knowledge of companies of this kind that the doctoral student, their supervisor or the Doctoral School of AGH possess. The doctoral student should  agree in advance with the company in question whether a professional or research internship could be completed with the company. These arrangements should also cover the preliminary scope of the internship. The same applies to internships that are to be completed at a partner university .
