The Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum (BNEF) is a platform for sharing knowledge and experience about innovative solutions in nuclear energy. The conference aims to create new perspectives and develop partnerships, especially in the Baltic Sea region. Atom is already playing an important role in our region. Nuclear power plants are an important component of the energy mixes of Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, Czechia, and Slovakia, whereas Poland and Estonia want to build them.

Invited guests will talk about their countries' strategies related to low-carbon energy mixes with or without nuclear energy, as well as the opportunities to become independent of fossil fuel imports from Russia, and in the long term to cease using them.

The forum gives room for interesting debates, sessions, workshops and study visits, featuring leading industry experts from Poland and around the world.

The BNEF will discuss the latest trends, technologies, and challenges in this rapidly developing field. Networking and establishing contacts with key industry representatives will also be an important part of the event. Among the topics to be discussed will be the role of nuclear power in obtaining the energy balance, large-scale technologies, small modular nuclear reactors, innovation and development in the nuclear power sector.

What will be also addressed at the Forum are issues regarding financing essential investments and relevant social, environmental, and health aspects.

The Blatic Nuclear Energy Forum is co-organised by the Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk, the Business for Climate Foundation, and the UN Global Compact.
